urgent advice needed,gears gone

Hi all,thought i will post this in general chat section,urgent advice needed,
Stopped on trafic lights and all gears gone except 3rd,and gear handle moves in any dirrection freely,even round and round,any position i put,car slowly moves forward,feels like 3 gear,any ideas lads?

Sounds like something has become disconnected. Take the air filter box off (the inlet pipe should be flexible enough to swing it out of the way) and see what the cables (or maybe rods?) are doing when you (or an assistant) move the lever about. You might see the problem this end anyway.

Agreed! Looks like a gear linkage has popped off.

Alberto, if you are stuck let me know and i'll have a run over and have a look at it for you, i'm only 20 minutes away.

managed to get car into the garage,and yes,one of the rods fell off,rod fell off,but the inside of rod,which ataches on the ball,stayed on,so,just temporary welded them back together...any ideas where to get brand new part? Nothing on ebay... Or just scrap yard ?

The dealer is your best bet if you can't find one in a breakers...there is a good Peugeot/Citroen breakers over my way.
