Oddly enough... I gave his a go and I'm, well, astounded. I think this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEATHER-Repai ... 58837be586 is the kit I have (I ordered it up when I got the leather seats for the D9 just in case). Most of it seems to be water-based, including the filler (I only realised after I'd squished it in roughly with the supplied lollypop stick) but not the top coat, which smells fairly volatile. The colour coat, rather than being just a stain, actually has some body so does a bit of the filling itself. The end result is a bit lumpy (because the filler was going hard) and I can see obvious brush strokes in the top coat but it feels fine and doesn't look like the ruin it started off. I reckon if I did this to a car I cared about, took more care and used an air brush instead of a rough old 1.5" paint brush I had hanging about, the end result would be amazing.

Bleurgh :( I couldn't be asked to take a "before" pic so I didn't see any point in posting an "after" but if you insist I'll take one later when I have more time.

Oh, I didn't realise an after pic would require a before pic too, I can always attack it with an angle grinder...

Incidentally, why am I getting emails from all the companies that have my address trying to tell me to buy a new telly because the football's on? Is there some law which states that, if you watch football on tv, you must invariably stick your foot through the screen at some point? :frown:

Wouldn't it be easier to listen to it on the radio and turn the volume right down?

I used to know a lass who was at school with that David Beckam, handsome lad, couldn't half kick a ball about. Thick as concrete though...

This expression (person x couldn't half do y) always makes me think of it like this:

David Beckham's talent < 50%
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

Pfft. It's just one of those (many) expressions that don't bear closer examination, either because the meaning of the words have moved on (e.g. the exception proves the rule) or because it's been assumed that, if it means one thing in one context, it means it in all. I think if you consider "don't half like", within which the implication is that the appreciation given is not only 50% and thus 100%, you might begin to see where this misconception may have arisen.

Yes, I am very bored.

What is Pingu up to in your avatar? Looks like he's pissing on the igloo floor. Where'd that come from?
