Mot fail
The old barge went in for mot today i knew there was an abs fault it's n/s/r (needs investigating) and i also new there was a sussy part gone the o/s/r drop link has play in it but that was an advisory but also what i think is a link arm is shagged it sort of points away from the drop link?
Mot guy wrote offside rear radius arm but he's not sure of it's proper name so can someone point out what it's called please? It needs changing and whilst at it the drop link can be done too.

Yep that's the ones, replaced both of them on the Coupe recently.
I'm not sure about cheap versus "branded" ones, maybe someone else has experience? Mine were Lemforder and have been fine thus far...
The inner bolts/washers are eccentric I believe so that there's some adjustment - I'll leave that bit to someone who knows what they're talking about!

Isn't that bolt a bit of a git to get hold of if it has to be cut? Adjustment sounds like a job for a pro or did you do them yourself?

The general concensus is to clean up the bolt head and bracket then make a mark with a paint pen or something similar so you can put it back roughly where it came from. Always good practise to get the tracking checked afterwards but you shouldn't be too far off the mark assuming it wasn't out before you started.
Funnily enough I was watching a youtube how to by 'bunnybr' for this exact job the other day which will help you.
It's certainly a straightforward job in theory but like most jobs on suspension it involves rust and crud removal so plenty of WD40 and wire brushing then take your time and you should be fine.

At work so can't do youtube, I'll check later.
I had the front strut off yesterday and can confirn the arse end isn't the only rust trap! the top spring holder was shocking

I saw one of (I think) Mark W's threads on this recently, but can't remember whether it was on this forum, or the coupe one.
The reason mention it is that some replacement links are not the same length as the originals, therefore marking everything beforehand does not always gaurantee correct alignment afterwards. I would budget for a 4-wheel alignment check, (preferably from someone that agrees the rear suspension can be adjusted)!

The parts i thought were a tad expensive compared to ebay but he will supply better quality... £20 labour plus £30 for the top link and drop link.... Then whatever is wrong with the ABS.

Had the top link and drop link changed and the code reader said n/s/r speed sensor so changed that... Re-test and 12 month ticket... Driving from the test station abs light came on again so checked the codes.... Same bloody fault again wtf is that about? Anyone?

Check the ABS ring for damage/crud and clean the sensor and check the cable for damage, generally make sure everything is where it should be and nice and firm. Don't think there's much else to look at if it's specifically NSR thats affected.
One other thought would be whether you need to clear the fault with Planet? I'm sure someone wiser than me can confirm or deny that.

He used a snap on code reader to clear it but it just kept coming back... Maybe pp2000 is needed?

TBH I don't know but would presume a speed sensor is pointless without a point of reference which would be the teeth on the ABS ring???
Should be easy enough to spot if you stick your head under the back bumper tho.
