Good Luck Chap.
Don't know about you but I always take my motor to a local garage that only do MOT,s all day long, they have no vested interest in failing them because they do not do repairs.

I am always suspicious of these high street firms (you, know who you are) offering cut price MOTs, only to find that you car fails on a load of things that they quote you fortunes to repair.

Maybe it's just me!

I wouldn't be so paranoid if the WHOLE WORLD wasn't out to get me

That doesn't sound too bad at all. Are you pretty handy, Is it something you feel you could tackle yourself?

Rear tie rods are a bit fiddly due to poor access but straight forward enough, give the threads a good soak in WD40 and a good wire brushing before hand and it helps a lot.
Jasper's guide on handbrakes in the KB is excellent, check the condition of the cables before you start as they corode and stretch.
Bulbs shouldn't be much of an issue.

Good luck with the retest

sorry I should of explained, the sensor creates a magnetic field every time a solid piece of the ring goes past it it disrupts the magnetic field this is how control unit measures the speed of wheel if you have some metallic swarf on the sensor it reads the same signal all the time and puts up a fault
If it doesn't fit you need a bigger hammer

Well done! It's so much more satisfying when you,ve persisted and succeeded. Very fulfilling.
