Im sorry Im sure this is not a new topic but I cant find where I was advised to unplug a maf sensor to check if functioning properly.
I seem to remember the post saying if maf is faulty the power will return.
I replaced the sensor about a year ago as considered faulty by this check and it was fine.
Now the fault has returned with new sensor I have unpluged and all is well again.
As I am travelling high miles for work at moment will I do any damage leaving it un plugged long-ish term till I can replace again
Thanks in advance for any advice
Keith

Re: maf sensor
Thanks for tips, as I said I did replace it about a year ago with one from local spares shop and suspect it's as bad as ebay ones this time I'll get a good one from main dealer.

Re: maf sensor
Having been told to get a good maf I have been offered from main dealer £136 from local spares shop a Hella for £81 and a Lucas for £65 are these prices about right? The one I got last time in my ignorance was a unknown make Masterflow! Can't find bill to tell what I paid.

Re: maf sensor
I fitted a hella in mine with no problems, reputable brand and all that. I think OEM is now svo after some corporate buyout of Siemens.
Decent price that considering how much I paid for mine at trade!
