Re: selling a 406 for export?
I think it is just because the prices are now very low for what is an excellent car, they are cheap because their owners become complacent and let minor niggles build up until it become too much to get through an MOT..
These things don't matter in some parts of the continent, and Jonny Foreigner is getting a great, reliable car that will last ages if you turn a blind eye to its 'niggles'.....

Re: selling a 406 for export?
I work for import and export and about 1000-1500 cars get exported every month to places like Nigeria [ Where most of the 406's go ], Kenya, Russia...etc. Since I started I have seen over 120 406's get exported. It is sad because a lot of these people don't treat there cars well as in no servicing and tears in seats and dents, so when a cheaper car maybe £2000 and under gets exported it is not going to get looked after. Seen a lot of coupes and very well kept cars, just a couple of days ago I did some paperwork for a 2006 407 HDI bi-turbo that was to go to Kenya, it only had 47000k on the clock.

Re: selling a 406 for export?
Only if the countries law approves. The most popular car to leave is the Range Rover and many of them go to places where you are allowed RHD and LHD

One of the German Coupe members was looking for a low cost 2.2HDi Coupe. We found him one, had it transported to Scotlland. Mark W did a bit of work on it. The German boys flew in, stayed the night at mine and drove the car south the next day. They saved circa 3,500 to 4,000 Euros by buying one from the UK.

I bought all my Pugs from England apart from the 407, you may have a point there.

Re: selling a 406 for export?
How much is decent pug 406 worth in England? The ones fitted with the 2.9liter V6 engine?
Re: selling a 406 for export?
Some go for as little as £600, half decent ones circa £1500 and pristine ones name their own price. As always it is down to what a buyer is willing to pay.
