2007 406 in Nigera?

Post by peugeot30v6 »

So while going through some classified ads from different countries I found this
http://www.nairaland.com/487133/2007-pe ... tige-brand

It is a post from 2010 but I a pretty sure that they did not make the 406 up to 2007. Is this maybe a replica. Only 3000km.

All 406 production ceased in 2004. Maybe it sat around for a while before being registered :? It'd be interesting to see the chassis number.

They could've blown all the dust off the engine. Oh, and I'm convinced by that "Prestige" sticker on the boot. It looks like a full-mux exec anyway, possibly a 2.0 with presumably the crap terrain suspension & bashplate -

Its a proper mash-up of interior trim too.

Leather seats with GLX door cards and grey lower dash, later cars had the black lower dash. This one does have the 'Welton panel' so its definitely post 2003...??

Prestige, my arse.

Definitely post 2002, as my Sept 2002 exec had this panel from factory.

That prestige badge looks like something thats been ripped off the back of an austin princess.

It is a really preculiar trim level, its got com2000 stalks but the old grey glovebox, silver dash trim but no sat nav, it does look very clean with the exception of the engine bay i suppose thats a side effect of living in a sandy area.

Its the facelifted version post 2002. It still looks good. Personally, I would go for the 2.9 liter V6 .I haven't driven one, but I know its a gem of an engine. In the meantime, I will be running around in my venerable 505 sedan.
