As the title suggest I had my renewal paperwork through at the weeked.
I'm currently with co-operative and having never made a claim other than a windscreen replacement a few years back that I stumped up the excess for I go purely on price through go compare.
Co-operative renewal for my 2.2 parked on drive with other half as named driver - £427.15
Roughly 15% increase on last year
5 minutes on Go Compare
Cheapest quote Hastings direct basic cover - £217.60
Best quote Hastings direct premium cover - £260.10
Which has all the extras and a £100 excess so thats what I'm going for.
So to summarise, and apologies to those who do this anyway - when it comes to insurance renewal FFS shop around!!!!
In my case with the new car tax monthly D/D scheme which is also due at the end of the month I'll be paying virtually the same for tax and insurance next year as I'm paying just on insurance this year.

Re: Insurance renewal time again
Mine has gone down over the last couple of years and both my wife and I had accidents about 5 years ago. I always go to Confused.Com, purely because they were the first and I have always used them. My C5 was about £145. and my wifes 406 around £135. Not very often things go down except perhaps fuel at the moment.

Get to 75, live in the west country and run cars that aren't worth anything.
Oh, and get married, that makes it cheaper.
