I know what I'm going to get every time, how much it is going to cost and what I like. Most of the time when I go to chains I know what I'm going to order before I even get there.

Back in them 1990's a Pub near me used to pedal 48oz Steaks (Porterhouse or something?) there is no way anyone should eat that much meat in one sitting
I never had one but saw people devouring theirs and huffing and puffing their way through it...honestly the plate was disgusting it looked like a coroners table gone wrong.

£55 for two is a pretty good price for us southerners. I went to see the out laws a few times and I've always found it amazing how cheap it is there. The best fillet steak I've had was in Manchester and cost £18. We were also taken out once to a pretty posh hotel/restaurant thing and a meal for four with startersand some desserts was just a shade over £80...

THAT'S what I mean, style and a bit of thought into what the customer will enjoy. And I bet you can drink it at your leisure without feeling like you're getting in the way
Having been tipped off by a guide I tried a coffee experiment in Rome a couple of weeks ago, she said "take your coffee standing at the counter". Standing coffee, 1 euro (my keyboard doesn't have a euro symbol!!), let your arse touch a chair and the same coffee is 4 or 5 euros (because you're paying for the service apparently)! Very good to know! Tell you what though, they know how to make coffee over there! Just gawjuss!!

We have just come back from a small place called Roxy's Bistro ( its not a strip club but it sounds like it ) and it was lovely.
No starters, but I had a lovely steak main with good chips, the wife had a paella and we both had a pudding and drinks. Thanks to the wonder of 'Tastecard' the meal cost a whopping £28

Yes, I heard that recently. The person who said it was amazed how here in the UK, we've allowed ourselves to drink the abysmal concoctions from
