Other drivers pulling out on you but they don't care?

I'm getting fed up with this pulling out on you thing now, it's growing rapidly I've had countless other drivers pull right out in front as if I'm not there and not even an acknowledgement. It's as if people have been trying it out...it kinda works...so just do it

If they do that, and they do it a lot, I always make my presence known (frantic horn use and/or flashing lights).

Happens to me a lot too, so much so that I was think of recommending Peugeot Oakland green pearlescent to the MOD, as it seems to be a remarkably effective camouflage.

If Welly has the same issue, perhaps it's because we're not in the first flush of youth and drive cars that look staid and respectable?

I was thinking that exactly!

A Grey Volvo driver isn't usually going to catch up with you, break the drivers window and forcibly extract the victim from their car and beat them to within an inch of their lives with an iron bar and then calmly return to their Grey Volvo, drive away and finally run over the victims lower legs are they? although I have thought about it. Perhaps you can tell?

It does make sense though, I don't think I'd chance cutting up your typical Scooby driver, or a 2003 X5 driver....

The only thing I really don't like about the 406 is having the horn button in the centre of the steering wheel, like a 1950s car. If someone cut me up when I was driving my old 405, I could flash the lights and blast the horn with one finger, while still taking evasive action. Much safer.
Did any 406 have the horn button on the end of the stalk? I'd rather have that than automatic lights.

I believe my bro's first 406, (98 1.9TD), had the horn button on one of the stalks.

Personally, I never really got that used which stalk had the horn button and usually couldn't find it in a hurry. I had a Montego for over 7 years, but even after all that time when someone cut me up I would snatch at a stalk and like as not really squirt the washers at them.

It was a 'needs must' purchase when the kids were young and money really tight.
I hated it to start with, developed a grudging respect and finally came to realise it was amazingly reliable compared to the 60's & 70's stuff I looked back on so fondly.

Eventually I became a bit less skint and swapped it for a red 200SX, (when I was about he same age you were when you got the Volvo).
