If I could get the low ash C2 stuff cheap enough I'd run a few 'wasted' oil changes through it.

I thought it needs to be 'C2' spec oil?Bailes1992 wrote:Welly I can get you 20L of Chevron Havoline Supreme 5w30 fully synth low SAPS stuff for £40 if you want it. It meets A5/B5 so exceeds what Citreon ask for, and Ford! It'd be fine in your T5 too. They love it in America.
Diesel oil always goes black straight away. It's due to the EGR and the soot.
My Mondeo used to stay much cleaner without an EGR.

Bugger I had all that stuff off last weekend checking something else, the upper plastic guard was a pain because it didn't want to locate into a grove at the bottom of the windscreen, took a few attempts and then I was left with trying to tuck that 'blanket' down to the bulkhead. Thanks for the tip, it makes sense now, I did see a guide on youtube showing unclipping the fuel lines etc didn't fancy that.jasper5 wrote: The easiest way to get at the air filter is this....
Take off the wiper arms and remove the shelf which fits side to side below where the wiper arms fit.
It isn't that difficult.
