I've been looking at the above pic for ages and it's like one of those trick pictures where stuff keeps appearing which you didn't notice at first:

'Spy Cam' pic of Yoyo

Large lady pointing at speeding* car

Man? looking confused

Half-painted Fire House

Spooky attic window across t'road

Recycling? tardises

Big cable wanging from the gate letter box and going up the tree?

Oh and a truck-mounted cherrypicker :cheesy:

Oh yes, there's always a lot going on here in the village, usually quite bizarre too. Let's see now...

The only place I could park it where I could still come and go.
Large lady pointing at speeding* car
Umm, car is stationary. She's probably saying "we've got no effing power again because of those effing idiots." I think she's a Nada (most of the old dears around here are), always gives me a cheery wave and considers me "hard working" for some reason.
Man? looking confused
Husband Štef. He's about 90 so perfectly entitled to look a little baffled.
Half-painted Fire House
Nobody (worth worrying about) sees the back of the fire house so they'd rather spend the money on beer.
Spooky attic window across t'road
They only use the ground floor of the house, so if you can see a face there...
Recycling? tardises
They were a big argument a few years ago. They were originally on the grass outside the primary school down the road but, as it's a fair way back from the road, they were neglected and ended up with a load of broken glass around them (perfect outside a primary school  ). Then they moved them across the road but the people there objected so then they got moved to their present position, much to the annoyance of t'wife and the lady next door (also Nada - it means "hope", not "nothing", that's Spanish). Loads of phone calls etc. falling on deaf ears, t'wife got told they're staying there as it's !central to the village! (I paced it, it's not). I'm more philosophical about it, they're more obvious there and get emptied regularly, so glass doesn't just get left around them which was quite distressing. The only downsides are cars stopping there setting Stinky off, listening to idiots playing "smash the bottle" and the odd retard drops glass so I have to sweep it up occasionally.

Oops, missed one (somehow :? )

Next door's cable wasn't long enough to reach the concrete abortion so they just dropped it in our garden. Then they had to come in our garden to splice a bit on. I had to put Stinky away of course, and I had to clear all the bits of sheathing up the idiot just left :frown:
Oh and a truck-mounted cherrypicker :cheesy:
They've two of them, they're abandoned down the road just now.

Still on batteries, I'm waiting for some building material to be delivered. I could do some welding but I don't think the inverter likes that, judging by the way the lights flicker...

Battery SOC 93%, load 0.4Kw. That'll be the pc...

Most of the time it just sits up there doing nothing and I start to wonder why I did that, but then there are a few times every year (look, 5 times already this year!) when there's no power for several hours and I think about how, if I just had the solar panels up there (which produce absolutely nothing when there's a power cut) it would drive me completely mental, and I'd wish I had splashed out on another inverter and some batteries.

Nah, those we hired (or rather Miloš did with our monies), that's our loft "conversion" turning up. It's convenient to stick it on the roof of the boiler house but I've always been dubious that the roof has been built to any sort of standard and suspect that it's as flimsy as the edge would suggest. I voiced my concerns to Miloš and the result is I'll end up having to ferry two pallets of breeze blocks up the stairs one by one :( Me and my big mouth...
