Spare BSI???
Hi all, I finally got around to having my BSI repaired recently after twelve years of no central-locking coupled with the annoyance of having to disconnect my battery after each and every journey in order to stop the BSI from draining all the power out of it. Living with my faulty BSI hasn’t been easy. I tried BBA-Reman but no joy on this occasion unfortunately, they couldn’t fix it. It looks like I’ll need a replacement BSI and wondered if any of my fellow 406’s out there had a good used one they could spare? My 406 has the 73005112 BSI

Re: Spare BSI???
If you are struggling to find only a BSI, it may be easier to find a complete donor car ( not so easy nowadays ) or a guy stripping his own car for parts.
If it's the same year as yours, and the mileage is similar, then get the ECU, BSI, instruments, door locks, ignition barrel, key and boot lock - then you can transplant all of these into your car.

Everything looks good apart from the price, it's about half the value of the car lol. I appreciate the response thought and may come back to you about the chap that cloned yours if i ever manage to find a replacement. How much did he charge you for that service?batrst wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:31 pmhear there this on ebay ive check its the same as yours. if you need it copying can give you info of a guy that did mine how this helps
