crap immobiliser

Post by vauxmad »

my wifes car has the key pad immobiliser, now the car was bought trade and the trader did not know the code so we have to faff with locking it and then starting it quickish else it won't bloddy start without repeatedly pressing the key fob.

is there a way of cutting out the immobilser?

Hi,

I have no idea, TBH the best bet is contact a deal and see if they can reset it for you.

on 306's i know you can unplug the keypad wires when the engine is running, and it will disable the immobiliser and stop it sending a signal to the ecu to reactivate the immobiliser when you shut the ignition off, thus leaving the car permanantly "un-immobalised" (mobalised?)
might be worth a try
