Dental root canal = hurty!!

I had a root canal done on Tuesday afternoon and it was a right bastard :(

1hr 40mins in the chair and 3x 20mm deep holes through the tooth and each root followed by the root-fill and cap.

The only bonus was that the dental technician girly was a hotty and I kept looking into her eyes when she was sucking my fluids out with the sucky thing. I stopped this though when I got a bit of a twinge in the trouser dept and no method of concealment :oops:

The dentist said afterwards "you might want to take Ibuprofen for 2 or 3 days now because you might get some post-op pain"......might?.... frigging might? bloody hell yesterday I was in agony with toothache/jaw ache/face ache and didn't know what to do with myself.

As soon as I got home I went to bed, loaded with pain killers, and after an hour the pain gave me a couple of hours off so I quickly snaffled 4 cans of Stella and went to sleep (pain killing, Welly style)

Today I have a strange numb-lump in my cheek and look a right spacker, I'm hoping I don't get an infection or something.

Oh and it cost £220.00 (which I got them to spread over 3 months for me :P ) trouble is I can't get my Oil change and Engine Light sorted now :x

Heh sounds a bit like the time I got put in hospital after electrocuting myself (don't ask...). They stuck me on a bed and hooked me up to a heart monitor for a while. Everything was good up until the point a rather tasty bit of nurse leant over to reach something on a shelf above the bed...

I wished I was anywhere but there :D

I was changing the internal fuse in a computer PSU. I made sure the power cable was disconnected before i started, but what I failed to notice for some inexplicable reason is that I'd run out of proper power cables a few months previously and being a cheapskate student, soldered a mains cable directly to the circuit board. I reached in to change the (live) fuse and got my fingers stuck so I was being electrocuted for a fair amount of time before a housemate could unplug me...


D'OH!

I hope this werent my missus' you were checkin out lol!!

I hate the Dentists, they seem to bully me, my missus being dental nurse i dont think i can get away with bad teeth!! :?
