Haha excellent!
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

I like it 8)

I once got given a Fiesta that the previous owner was going to scrap. She'd just left it outside her house for a couple of months after getting a new car. Nowt too much wrong with it really, sticky brakes, a bit of cosmetic metal worm, you know, the usual. Spent about £300 tarting it up whilst using it as a runaround for a few months then sold it for £1700 (I did give Laura half the profit - I'm not that nasty! ). The real piss take occcured 18 months later though, when it showed up on the forecourt of a car sales in town for £2295

Nice one dizzy

I said it was rare for the turbo to fail. Just shows you how people/garages jump to the wrong conclusion sometimes without really looking properly.
