Knocking
Hi guys i have a knock on the driver side suspension i know its not a engine mount so what can it be and is it going to cost me my leg?

anti roll bar link, costs about £9, the old one usually has to be cut off as they get rusted on

I have the same problem & have re-newed both the drop link arm & lower ball joint-wishbone bushes look fine with no distortions or signs of wear. problem is still there.

I have had knockin on both ends of the car, here is what I found for what it is worth.
Rear:
Replaced both track rods (Major knocking0
replaced both rear drop links (Slight knock)
Front
Replaced driver side track rod end. (Mega knocking, now cured)
Both anti-roll bar drop links (minor knock)
Lower engine mount replaced (I though the engine might get out and walk if I left it much longer)
Like I said, your Knock may be coming from somewhere else, but this is where all of mine were coming from.
Car now quiet, and after having the alignment done, driving and handling well!

Oil/Mileage
By the way guys what oil shall i used("i mean the best one") am changing it tomorrow? Its a 2.0 SRi-T and my car is on 150k and runs fantastic do i need to worry?

hi guys got my car sorted out and really do appreciate for all the help i got Thank You. Now i got a new issues i changed my drop link and roll bar on the driver side were the knocking was coming from and the noise is still there when i got through pot holes or give it some it makes the knocking noise again? What can it be am baffled

Oops! Try the other side, when mine was knocking I looked on the side where it was coming from but couldn't see anything, turned out to be the other side, the sound was being transmitted through the steering.
