Guessing this is based on standard profile rubber. Just wondering how much under/over inflated tyres would affect the measurement ?. Anyway on my 1997 D8 it's 660mm.
1998 D8 2,1 TD estate 205/60 R 15 640mm
2004 D9 2,0 HDi estate 205/60 R 15 685mm
Ditto with 195/65 R 15 690mm
The D8 clouts every damn thing going, I very nearly didn't look at another one until I noticed how much higher the D9s sit. The XUD11 is a heavy old lump (the whole car seems to be almost 100kg heavier than the 1,9) I'm not surprised the springs are surrendering.
The 195/65s on the D9 are my winter tyres which I just fitted because the forecast says snow (argh!)
I could tell straight away Welly that your 6 rides higher than mine. The gap between your rubber and the wing looks mahoosive.
My old lady is on 137k now so maybe the suspension is getting a little worn now?
While im here, when i got my 6 over 2 years ago it never used to scare the sh*t outta me when id lob it into a corner, now she feel like she wants to swap ends?
Is that a slick you're running there Welly? [/quote]
I thought that but the picture has made the outer edge look worse than it is. The centre tread is at 3-4mm and the edge is about 2-3mm. Not fantastic but the law states you must have a minimum of 1.6mm over 75% of the surface.
Having said all that I would not like to run the winter with 1.6mm tryes, or my current tyres for that matter so will be changing them in due course.
I thank yaw.

It will feel like that, it's like having a big dead horse nailed to your radiator grille
You may have a problem with both springs where the endy-bit has snapped off in the cup thing [/Peugeot master technician winner 2006].
I had a rear one go which gave me an instant 15mm drop on one side! The spring replacement is quite cheap although you would be wise to check all wishbones, arms, bushes, etc etc.
