Engine died on M6?

Post by crazycamp »

2000 Pug 406 HDI (110) executive...

Was blissfully cruising along the M6 @ 65-70mph when all power went from the right foot, engine light came on, and i slowed onto the hard shoulder where i called the RAC, they said, will the car restart, it did, so i continued on my journey, about an hour later the engine light disapeared and the car has been running fine ever since.

Should i still get the car hooked up to a diagnostic's to see whats going on?

Cheers

you need to get the fault codes read, but that could be a throttle pot fault, rail pressure sensor fault or pressure regulator fault
