No, in fact I have never found a 406 or Xsara in our local breakers, wish I could.
Mind you I havn't really needed anything that I could get from a breaker, except a door mirror, & the chances of finding a D9 exec in a breakers must be slim.
Only really needed "service items" like brakes, tyres, exhausts & radiators, all of which I got cheap enough of the internet.
All a little worrying though, have I been lucky so far? Are they ALL about to self destuct in the near future? Let's hope not.
And the "eldest" with 160000 on the clock feels the same as the "youngest" with only 80000 showing, in fact if anything it's quicker, I reckon it's 'cos they're not properly "run in" till 100000.

I believe that apart from cambelt changes and bottom pullies then the key to good service from your pug engine is just to simply pop the bonnet once a week and check it over.

Listen for any noises, check all the fluids, are there any leaks anywhere? etc.etc.

Happy days :)
