Hi people, got another annoying fault develop this morning...
the display showing mileage total and trip mileage has disappeared, looks like some sort of illumination fault as can just see the display if i kinda squint funny..is this likely to be a fuse or is there a bulb that illuminates this part of the panel???

It is just a bulb thankfully. You have to remove the cluster to get to it; Lower steering wheel, remove 3 screws up under the lip which is behind the steering wheel, remove vent assembly, remove 4 screws fom cluster, grab it from top and pull forward, you don't need to remove the connectors. Assembly is reversal of the above!
There are many threads on cluster removal, the fiddly bit is getting the vent assembly out!
