Need i say any more but Dream 406
2000 D9 Coupé 2.0 SE EW10J4 Scarlet Red - 5 litres of oil gone in 500 miles!!! Time for a new coupe me thinks

Wow! that's very very tidy 8)

Unfortunately with a Peugeot slush-matic gearbox I wouldn't even touch it :cry:

v6 + auto box = almost dead
d9 = almost dead (if not already ;) )

I'm not selling it, just saw it on auto trader. Are those auto gearboxes really that bad? Are they not tiptronic?

They're just not built to take the V6's power output. There used to be quite a few threads to that effect on here before the hacking incident

They can't handle the power of the 1.8 let alone the 3.0 :(

I think the auto box on the 406 was an old outdated very fragile piece of kit which suffers badly if it's fluid isn't religiously changed (which Peugeot say is sealed or life) :roll:

ha ha. Better not gey a v6 with an auto so. I'd love to take a V6 out for a spin though. Doubt it'll be much different than my HDi :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Thats the postcode of stansted airport. its where I would fly to to pick up a car if i ever bought a car in England. Im from Ireland :lol: :lol:

I am thinking about going out and test driving a few v6 coupe's this weekend so i hopefully be able to comment.

that 406 has the wrong wheels thou and personally i dunt like spoilers on the 406.

I dont think it has the wrong wheels although I know what you're saying. My lx has the same alloys as the early d9 executives which I think look much better. And as for the spoiler: I think they can look ok if they are discreet spoilers unlike that one.
