There was something similar on What (we love fords) Car? last week. I didn't want to mention it because it's rather depressing. Maybe it'll force me to cycle more but my biggest worry is heating oil, the price of that's doubled since I came here and it cost me almost a grand to heat my house to a balmy 8 degrees last winter :(

Broke my single fill up record on Friday. £76.30 for 70l of unleaded (and yes I used petrolprices.com to find the lowest price in the area 108.9p/l). You guys with your diseasels must be up at £84 a tank by now , although that should get you about 50% further than mine. I worked out that if the price does reach £1.50/l Friday's fill up would cost £105

I'm now seriously thinking about looking for a job on the doorstep that doesn't involve travelling.

The highest diesel price i've seen is 124.9. The most i've paid so far is 117.9.

At what point will this masquerade end?

When the government succeeds in forcing everyone onto the disgusting over-priced public transport system or dangerously cheap and nasty scooters?

There's a Shell station here selling diesel for 125.9 but many smaller garages charge even more.... This is just ridiculus...

I use Asda's pumps, they're at 117.9 (diesel) at the moment.

I've found BP and Shell are the most expensive around, most small independent places are around the average.

BP and Shell may be more expensive, but you get a heck of a lot more mileage for your money which makes supermarket fuel a real false economy unless you're filling up a hire car prior to returning it

I've done an £84 fill up :(

Gets me close to 700 miles but still it hurts to fill up.
I'd have to pay a lot more than £1.50 a litre for public transport to make sense.

What BP and Shell selling Hydrogen or something?
They sell the same fuel from the same refineries as anywhere else btw.
The supermarkets have the supermarket shelves to support the cheaper fuel as the supermarkets call people in then people get fuel whilst they are there.
