Post by TooT »

Hi everyone not been on for a while but thought i would share this stupid design with you.

Hmmm don't think i can get to the bulb from in here.

Remove wheel
Image

Thats better. Unscrew cover.
Image

Oh good another little cover to unscrew.
Image

About time. There you are.
Image

Now bulb replaced better check it works before i rebuild the car
Image

Torque down wheel nuts nice and tight with size 10 Reebok

25 mins later, All done :cheesy:
Image

Tools used - Sheet to kneel on, torch, locking wheel nut adapter, wheel brace, jack, and new bulb.

What a joke. No wonder Renault dealers charge 20 quid, plus the price of a bulb to do it

I just grab the rear passenger mat from behind the drivers seat - very rarely gets used because I have the seat waaaay back :)

If I can though I just sit on my arse - much more comfortable

Got to love the French for their well thought out car designs.

Guess none of the designers ever had to change a bulb then  :frown:

Well done tooty!!! Nice pics, they took me back to the good old days of involuntarily removing knuckle skin.

Hope the Migraine is going well for you.

Yeh! It's a bit like playing twister with your car!!! Fully clothed of course.

Let me know how the MOT goes. Are the tests strict where you are? Over here in NI everything is computerised so it's either pass or fail - even on headlight alignment (although some of the guys can be more decent than others). I got failed last year on the HDi's exhaust emissions. The guy advised me to stick a can of that smoke reducer in the tank. Had to pay £20 quid ish for a retest. Got through the second time though. The following monh they stopped the emissions tests on all diesels coz 1. They were over revving the engines and there were reports of a number of timing belts snapping, and 2. Health and safety of the testers - exhaust gasses.

Have a look at the testing regime http://www.dvtani.gov.uk/vehicletesting ... stages.asp
