Loads of photographs and make sure the new garage is willing to sign stuff to say the condition they found it in, it's how you earn your living so I can't see a court being upset if you get it fixed.

Is that what the original fault was? A bit like changing your gearbox but not telling you the reason it won't go anywhere is actually the clutch is b*ggered. Are they planning for you to pay for a trip to Hawaii or something?

Also they changed two rear link arms and the damn thing still sounds as sh*gged as Madame Cyn's bed

So it wasn't the link arms then. Where do you find these monkeys?

Though I can't really give them too much grief, they pulled back the boots on the rack and liberally greased it and it is no longer making a noise (at the moment at least).

Oh, they used their brains, that's a first

Though they have quoted £600 for a replacement if it does come back

Looks like a recon rack is about 200 quid, does 8.5 hours labour sound about right?

It's so they know they're speaking to whoever's on the phone number you gave them, as opposed to some random phoning up claiming to be you.

Doesn't help if they've got your mobile number and your mobile was in your car when it was stolen though

You need to get your own policy soops. I phoned around and ended up using these guys for taxi and personal liability, price was good and they've been very helpfull -

First time taxi ins fully comp on my D9 came in at just under £1100 with personal liability for 5mill (county council requirement for school runs etc) at about £100. But I am an old fart with big lots no claims.

I guess you're paying about 35 - 40 quid a week to be on the fleet policy? 40 quid a week is 2080 a year.

Plus if you're on someone else's policy then they have some leverage over you.
