That bunch of spanner monkeys that fitted the "replacement" turbo want shooting!

Hmm, sounds as though they don't want to get involved with trading standards eithersupafrisk wrote:Other garage do not want to know, they at first said there were leaks etc, now they say the rack is probably pure coincidence and the leaks are probably the original leaks prior to the new turbo being fited

Spineless cowards (it was a long shot though)now they say the rack is probably pure coincidence
Is that what the original fault was? A bit like changing your gearbox but not telling you the reason it won't go anywhere is actually the clutch is b*ggered. Are they planning for you to pay for a trip to Hawaii or something?and the leaks are probably the original leaks prior to the new turbo being fited![]()
So it wasn't the link arms then. Where do you find these monkeys? Also they changed two rear link arms and the damn thing still sounds as sh*gged as Madame Cyn's bed![]()
Oh, they used their brains, that's a firstThough I can't really give them too much grief, they pulled back the boots on the rack and liberally greased it and it is no longer making a noise (at the moment at least).
Looks like a recon rack is about 200 quid, does 8.5 hours labour sound about right?Though they have quoted £600 for a replacement if it does come back
It's a long way to Tipperary,
It's a long way to go.
It's a long way to Tipperary
To the sweetest girl I know!
Goodbye Piccadilly,
Farewell Leicester Square!
It's a long, long way to Tipperary,
But my heart's right there.
Too right you do missus!supafrisk wrote:Fink I need a holiday. Preferably in Ireland, as close to the Magner's factory as possible. That'll be Tipperary then

I was trying to work that out too, loopy logic!steve_earwig wrote:Hold on, they rang you up but didn't get you, so you called them back but they wouldn't tell you what they wanted? Are they mad??
It's so they know they're speaking to whoever's on the phone number you gave them, as opposed to some random phoning up claiming to be you.teamster1975 wrote:I was trying to work that out too, loopy logic!steve_earwig wrote:Hold on, they rang you up but didn't get you, so you called them back but they wouldn't tell you what they wanted?
