Funnily enough my man said he'd bosh in a solid 4 piece kit for me cos he heard mine squeeking and chattering but I need some time yet after yesterday's bill :|

He's converting quite a few transit vans from DMF's of late. Apparently the motor factors are pushing solid conversions for most Diesels now and the general consensus is the solid jobs feel no different to DMF's :|

I'm just going to leave my a/c now over the winter - it actually still kicks in  and if the climate control wasn't so stupid as to keep asking for a/c even though I turned it off on the last journey then I would be able to forget about it! I like the auto setting but have to keep knocking the a/c part off - don't want to damage the compressor!

it shouldnt damage the compressor as there is a pressure switch in the a/c system and if the gas has leaked out the electromagnetic clutch wont kick in so it ll be fine 8)
just dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians

Welly - did you get a ceramic cat or a stainless steel one?

They take a bit of time to "coke" up before and will sound different for a couple thousand KM (Or is that miles...) and then go back to sounding the same old!

I need to get my engine mount done soonish - Having some excessive vibration! Rear suspension needs new bushes which should be cheap and easy to do!

Also bought my car a treat for summer - 35% Window tint...looks pimp! :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

Excellent! :cheesy:

You know, if you'd have asked me what side of the road you drive on down there then I'd have most likely said the right not left :)

No wonder you like your Jap imports then 8)

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

The Jap import market here has died - They made it very hard to import cars now as there were quite a few dud examples hitting out shores! It killed the local NZ car industry and they were worried about it doing the same here! Can pick up a R32 GTR skyline here for around the 15-20k AUD mark - so much car for the money! :cheesy:

The top selling new cars here is the Toyota Corolla (Ewww), Holden Commodore, Ford Falcon (Look at the tech specs of them and you will be amazed as to how much car you get for the money!), Mazda3, Golf, Ashtray, Focarse, CRV, X-Fail, Accord, Mazda6 etc etc
