I can't get past the same point. I've tried several VAT numbers and what I think are the said Intracommunity VAT numbers but it still won't recognise any of them. Anyone else got any ideas?

My account still works. I looked up my 'personal information' - I had set it up on 15/10/08, as follows:
Profile - Professional auto repairer
my real name, address, e-mail, no phone no., fictional business name & no VAT no.
I've never used anything other than free services.

Mine was working yesterday though! :x

I had my details setup exactly the same as yours, except I registered ages ago. It will now not let you go any further on registration unless you enter a VAT number and it won't accept any of the ones I've given it! :x

Success! :cheesy: Managed to get it to accept a VAT number and jobsagoodun. Got a new login ID and I'm now able to get back in.

I know am independant garage owner who may not have a servicebox account. I'll try to get him to set one up with a genuine VAT no. & see if that works, but it will probably take a few days to find out & let you know....

Having seen the post in the other topic regardng the VAT code, I 'borrowed' one from a company advertising theirs online. I just went onto google and typed VAT number and reused an existing one. You may need to play about with the format (iirc something like GB-********) but that should hopefully work.

Has anyone else got this working?

I have search on line and found loads of vat codes but none of them work when registering. Am I missing something?

Set your location to somewhere that doesn't use vat (i used Gib), then it went through fine :)

Hmm well half way there. I used gibraltor and it didn't ask for vat code, but there are errors on the web page. In firefox these dont show, so it seems that its just not working, but in Internet explorer the error message shows up as an undefined error.

Hopefully they will fix it soon!
