The original one, because it doesn't make you look sound like a barry boy

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Re: best dumpvalve for turbo exec?

It's the same with the tubby - despite being petrol it only revs to 4000rpmangrydave wrote:tbh... on a diesel is really sh*t. *chugga chugga chugga chugga tissss*. But still what ever floats your boat i suppose.

having said that my last few cars had D series honda engines, redline at 8k, hits limiter - never, lol.
1997 2.1TD executive estate - mmmm, lovely

Re: best dumpvalve for turbo exec?
Nah, the redline's about 6500 iirc, but it runs out of puff at 4000 (actually about 4200). Flat as a pancake after that. The only time you'll get to 4500rpm if you know the car is in 5th, and not legally in this country
It's a beautiful engine though, truly amazing, completely unique in it's laid back way. Powerful, torquey and built like a TANK! Just don't expect it to be pokey
