Brief update ('cos I'm bored

) P/S still doing Wookie impressions, me and the mechanic spent 3 hours playing with the the hydraulics Saturday and only made things slightly worse. There is no air in there, it's just not possible. Then Monday I went to see another mechanic, he swears blind it's not the pump and suggests changing the hydraulic pipe for a real one (ouch!) as the only other time he had this was on a Pussat with a home-grown (or is that groan?) hydraulic pipe which cleared when they put the real thing on it. His guys also spotted the feed pipe from the reservoir is presurising (do what???) and is trying to straighten itself out, so I'm driving it waiting for this pipe to explode. I guess there's a valve on it somewhere but I'll be jiggered if I can see it.
I still think it's the pump but I guess I'd feel really silly if I changed it, only to find the noise still there. It's not been ordered from Pug, my mate has a factor for that sort of thing. The price isn't much better but they reckon they can get it here in a week, which is better than Pug or postage from the UK - oh yes it is the same pipe, after all that I looked again and I must have had the filter still on or something 'cos 4020TZ comes up:
TURBO DIESEL XUD11BTE AND UNVARIABLE POWER STEERING AND LEFT HAND DRIVE
TURBO DIESEL XUD11BTE AND UNVARIABLE POWER STEERING AND RIGHT HAND DRIVE
We also tried the only breakers in this part of the country, no prizes for guessing how we got on there
