Yanked the ashtray out and found the light disconnected. Fair enough, reconnected it and realised there's no red cover so disconnected it again. It's not a separate part on servicebox, but can someone do me a quick favour and see if it's detachable? If so, could someone pocket me one next time they're round a breakers?
In the meantime, what would be a good substitute that won't melt?

2000 D9 Coupé 2.0 SE EW10J4 Scarlet Red - 5 litres of oil gone in 500 miles!!! Time for a new coupe me thinks

Not round here you can't. Lucky if they've got a single white one in stock

The red bit is in the ashtray, not the base!
I'll nip out and replace the bulb in a bit
