Roof Rail Fixings - broken

I have obviously put too much sideways loading when tying something to my roof rails and the nearside centre fixing has gone bust. My Haynes manual says headlining best left to the experts! Anyone had this problem?

i believe i read to remove head lining you have to take front screen out,
dont know if you can pull lining down enough at the spot where broken to
get your hand in
