Bad day

Post by mjb »

Woke up this morning, got ready for work, got to the car, waited 40 minutes for some RETARD who parked where it says "NO PARKING" painted on the road (across the entrance gate to about 10 garages) to move his car because he'd also decided to go bumper-to-bumper with me blocking me in, found some f**ker has broken my o/s wing mirror (it's still on, but it folds in over about 20mph), found my clutch slipping a LOT, got stuck in a 30min traffic jam, didn't get a parking space at work, then found out someone had turned my f**king workstation off

Is it Friday yet?

I'm seriously worried about my clutch now though. Think I might get taxis to work the rest of the month  Got to drive down to Wolverhampton on Thursday evening too  As long as I make it down there I'll be ok as I'll just get the AA to tow me home after

How much will taxis cost for the month. I'd drop it into a garage and swallow the pill on the clutch change if its getting that bad and if you won't be able to get to do it yourself for ages. Your fuel consumption is probably through the roof aswell with the dodgy clutch. MartinV6 DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably £10/day in taxi fares, 3 weeks worth so that's £150

The thing is I'm moving house at the end of the month, which is going to cost me about £2000 I really don't have so I can't afford to chuck £5-600 on top of that to get a garage to do it (besides, I'm half looking forward to the job  ). Fuel consumption's not too bad - 19.1mpg instead of the ~23mpg I got from the V6 saloon, but I could be running on 5 cylinders again. Can't tell because I'm having to be extremely gentle with the accelerator

19mpg. Ouch!! Its a pity you're not getting the performance to match that MPG at the moment. Im thinking of getting a 136 HDi coupe during the summer from England. The one i was looking at a few months ago was a D8 and in very shabby shape. Glad i didn't get it now.

Sound like a bad day.... hope this cheers you up.

I have had the day off
Got up at about 10ish
The missus had just gone to work and left me a double Bacon sandwich with Brown sauce on and a cup o tea
Read the paper and watched Top Gear on Dave
Emailed some work targets into work to find my 7am meeting is cancelled... YESS!
Cut the grass and got a little tan in the process... and got wolf whistled at by 2 young ladies walkin their dogs
so, I'm currently waiting for my partner to arrive home at 7pm holding a Chinese takeaway in 1 hand and 4 Carlings in the other.

Sorry mate.... some days are worth talking about

I've also managed to trap my ulnar nerve, so I have constant pins&needles in the little fingers in my left hand and shooting pain in the elbow.

ALSO I got a tax reminder for the saloon - WTF? It's changed hands TWICE!

Hope today's slightly better

I've got a similar pain in my left arm - tingly little finger and if I press the area of the 'funny bone' at the elbow it hurty

You need to sort out that Tax fella somehow or they'll be after you for £80.00 notes etc...

I know it's a bit of a way away, but have you tried the clutch clinic in Coventry? They're on the A45 london road at Canley between homebase and the esso garage and I'm sure they'll do you one for under £250
