Sorry if this is an old topic for long-standing members! Looking at previous posts on Servicebox problems, I'm clearly far from alone in losing my access a couple of months ago. I've tried various suggestions from members in attempting to log on again; most recently my friendly local car spares shop allowed to use their name, address, e-mail and (British) VAT number, but still no joy. The stumbling block still seems to be the VAT number. It has to be the 'Intracommunity' number, I believe, but I don't know how this differs from the UK one, or what one looks like.
Does anybody out there have a foolproof way of beating Mr. Peugeot's system, or information about the Euro VAT numbers? The site is just so darned useful! for example, I just replaced the cambelt and EVERYTHING associated with it on my D8 V6.
At dealer prices, the parts bill would be nearly £700, but by researching the part numbers I needed on Servicebox, then diligently trawling Ebay for several months, I got the lot for less that half that amount.
Help, please!

Just fiddle with the VAT number. I'm a branch of Sainsbury's

I registered for service box for the first time last week, I left the vat number section blank, I was registered straight away, they gave me a reference number to use along with my password.

Reckon this subject would make an ideal how-to for the Wiki :p

The French can be shrewd at times, they've clearly developed software to distinguish between geniune professionals and the restjasper5 wrote:I registered for service box for the first time last week, I left the vat number section blank, I was registered straight away, they gave me a reference number to use along with my password.

I think it may be something to do with the fact that I'm registered wit the Peugeot Trade Club, but who knows.

Re: servicebox again!
Success!!! - this time tried 'professional repairer' rather than 'parts supplier' and, though asked for a VAT number, left it blank and got access anyway. A million thanks, guys!
