Looks very nice, Bruce - think it's 'Icelandic Grey', like mine 8)
but yours has nicer wheels

Most people seem to think a remap's better tha the tuning box. AFAIK the box just 'lies' to the ECU, telling it the fuel rail pressure is lower than it really is, so the ECU increases it,,thus giving a bit more oomph....

On the surface of it, you'd think an intercooler would help, but I've read some views to the contrary on here. You can get about 120 bhp with a remap, I think.

2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I think he's looking at the equipment level but as far as I know it doesn't mean much. My D9 doesn't even have one :?

Umm, same wash/wipe stalk as the one you've got already, except it's got two arrows and a button on the end, possibly like this one.

I think all most tuning boxes do is fool the ecu into delivering more fuel, whereas a good remap is tailored to your particular engine.

Nice motor btw :cheesy:

I think its a LX because it doesnt have the wood trim on the doors, the door lights, trip computer and sill guards. Do you have rear electric windows and side airbags?

Yes it does have rear electric windows and side air bags. Electric & heated door mirrors, Rain sensors, CD Player, Auto A/C etc.

Maybe its an Early GLX then?

Thanks for the link for the wiper stalk. I will need to keep an eye out for the stalk with the rear wiper too, mine been estate.

Think Ill get a remap then as be better all-round.

Once I sell my old car im going to use the funds from that to get the timing belt, water pump & crank shaft pulley replaced.

Also, while its in ill get them to check the engine mounts as im sure 1 or more is worn as there is a lot of engine movement when the engine is started and stopped.

Had a little poke around the engine bay tonight and I think the worn mount is the one near the battery above the gearbox as they seems to move the most when I push the engine?

Also, since this is our first diesel, whats the little plastic tank in front of the engine with a drain hole and a top which you can twist to open or close??
