Hi all - need some more advice please.
I've a 1.9 d8 diesel on an s plate and today was fitting a new wing drivers side.
To do this i had to remove the wheel arch liner and to do that i had to take the wheel off.
Anyway after fitting the wing, i dropped on the wheel, was about to pop a wheel nut in and noticed the brake disc moving while trying to line the wheel up with the holes for the nuts.
On further inspection, i've found the the two screw heads that hold the disc on have sheared off, leaving it free to turn.
Now then - what's the chances of getting these out so i can replace screws or discs if needed-(and if you can get just the screws) - if i can get them out i dont mind paying for and fitting new discs if need be but i'm not prepared to got to the expense of new hubs or whatever else it needs.
Also just out of curiosity i inspected the pass side and ones sheared off that side too.
Thans for any advice all.
Neil

Re: Brake Discs
The easiest thing to do is to drill them out using progessively larger bits until you can unscrew the screws or you can collapse them inward.
There isn't really any need to go to the expense of new disc unless the old ones are shot, you don't need to change the hubs either if you can't remove the screws, there's no harm being as they are....the wheel hold the disc tight anyway, lots of cars don't even use screws to hold the discs.

Re: Brake Discs
Something like this will do it, or a reverse drill bit.
