The strut braces do fit a D8, however it will foul the bonnet (at least it did on mine). I had to 'modify' mine with a lump hammer to get the bonnet strengthening beams to clear and allow the bonnet to shut properly. Also make sure you get some longer bolts (mine came with the strut brace) as the ones from the coupe are a few mm longer to allow for the brace on top of the strut top.

Yes it will fit the 406 as it was designed for the saloon, not for the coupe.
