i have been giving a set of cietron alloys that will fit on my 406 y plate, they have really good tyres thats why i am using them, when i change the wheels will i need to change the nuts as well, wont standard nuts pull through

Well,i know that Citroen/Peugeot cars that have alloy wheels & a steel spare wheel like mine,have wheel nuts that can be used on both wheels.
From other cars that i`ve owned in my time that were not fitted with alloy wheels,when i changed to alloys,i had to get new bolts/nuts,as generally,they have a different washer oo them.Its to do with the alloy being softer than the steel wheel.

If they are genuine Citroen rims, then the standard 406 alloy bolts should be fine. The main thing to check on the Citroen wheels is whether they require a flat or taper wheel bolt. You can tell on the wheels as at the bottom of the wheel recess on the rim will either be flat, or angled down towards the bolt holes. Without pics of both rims (mainly closeup shots of the bolt holes) I can't say either way.

I`ve just brought 4 new wheel bolts from Peugeot.£8.42 all in.My locking bolt heads are worn & so is the adapter.I had this on my Xantia.In the end i had to drill out all 4 locking bolts.Not a job i want to do again,so have replaced them with standard bolts.

How hard are they?
Is it a cobalt-drill-only job?

I managed to loose the key for my Ashtray and drilled the bolts out - they were a pig, I broke 2 drill bits and made a mess of the wheels, not something I'd like to repeat.

Hi mate, I just fitted a set of 17" wheels that came from a ford mondeo! fitment is 4 x 108 any wheels fit of that fitment. try them on and make sure you don't get any rubs on the arches, then you ither change the wheels or start doing some serious bodyworking!
