Regarding that long bolt fitted to the gearbox for the mounting, this can be removed using a stud extractor that is normally used for removing cylinder head studs from cylinder blocks...just like the old type mini engines and such.That was the tool that I used for removing it.
Don't be put off by the huge amount of work involved, the none V6 models are easier to do.

Can you do us a HUGE favour and find a link to a suitable item on machinemart.co.uk or similar please? I'd love to add that to the top of the HOWTO!

If you follow the HOWTO, you can cut out about 80% of the work I did getting into messes with stuff I didn't get right
It's really not too bad when you understand the process. Just those goddamn wheelarch liner screws... grrr...
