A tenner for your knackered Lucas pump?
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!

I see you've now joined the vegetableoildiesel forum,
You'll get all the info you need for running chip oil on that site.
My user name on there is "mark" BTW,
there's a few of us that are on both forums.

Re: 2.1 12v (XUD11BTE) Throttle Problems
have two issues ive noticed with this conversion im afraid
first one i think you might have allready heard of, which is that as soon as you go over 3000rpm the rev counter cuts out and wont turn on again till you run the car again
and the other is a bit more annoying / serious
the cooling fans on the front of the radiator which used to be used quite alot, dont turn on in any relation to the temperature of the coolent anymore, sometimes they will come on at random just after the car has been started, but then go off for the whole journey.
Overheating is becoming a problem in traffic with no cooling fans! Had to resort to putting the heater on full blast today when i got stuck in traffic and the temperature had crept up to 100 :S

Re: 2.1 12v (XUD11BTE) Throttle Problems
I've had no problems with my cooling fans but the rev counter is the same as your's.
You may have desturbed some of the wiering when doing the swap.
The two sensers in front of the fuel filter are the ones that controle the fans, there's also a relay behind the front grill.
Try puting the AC on (if you have it) when in traffic, it should bring on the cooling fans and give you some time to find the problem.

Re: 2.1 12v (XUD11BTE) Throttle Problems
if you still have a prob with the cooling fans you can get a fan switch that you put in the top rad hose from demon tweeks and i think it has 2 or 3 temp settings aswell
