Help with paint codes

Post by swiss »

Hi peeps. Found a guy breaking a green 1.9 Saloon on the old electronic bay. It looks like Sherwood Green (like wot I have) but it gives a paint code of MOQO. When I did some Googling, it came up with a different code for that colour.

Anyway, I was wondering if someone with Service Pox access could maybe check out the auction here and see if the car in question is in Sherwood? He gives reg, engine and VIN data. Also, do we know if there was only one shade of Sherwood Green or is it one of those colours that might not be consistent?

If it's the right colour, I'm thinking of having the bonnet and boot lid...

TYIA.

Nausicaa? Glad I asked ^_^

TYVM Chief. Not that I ought to be using ebay at all, saving my pennies for a new clutch just now...

eBay is good! I've just won 3 part worn 17" tyres for a grand total of £0.99 and I've also just bought a pair of brand new boxed genuine Peugeot front shocks for £25 (£200ish from Pug).

Struggling with paint code for mine

There is a number on top of the strut mounting in engine bay, but it's the 6 digit number not the 4 digit letter/number code used these days.

Without going out to the car, If I remember correctly it's 809887
The car is a dark mettalic green - does this sound right, and if so, what's the equivalent latter code, as my mate who is in trade is going to order some paint for me, but his book only does the latter style

Well my mate took the bonnet off my car and got the paint supplier to come round, pick it up and match the paint.
The car turns out to be sherwood green, but matched none of the 4 tints they had on file, so had to specially mix up a shade for the car.
