Went to fill my windscreen resevoir today and guess water...... i filled it at the top and it came out from under the car. Prob a loose connection or maybe cracked resoivoir....??? common problem?
Ill take the wheel arch off this week and have a look but wandered if this was a common problem with older 406's

Depends how much came out... Every 406 I've had can't be filled to the brim because the joint between the reservoir and the filler neck hasn't been water-tight

nope this is def a gusher.....kettle full went in and a kettle full came out

Sounds like either the reservoir's been smashed, or a pump's come out of it...

yep. thats my thinking...... had an exhaust fitted 3/4 months ago and when i move from stand still i get a knocking type noise(only momentarily) . wandered if over time this has caused something to move or come loose

found the problem...... front wheel off and wheel arch cover off to find the windscreen washer pipe disconnected from the resevoir.... nicy and easy for a change !!!!!!!
