A miracle at Christmas!

Post by steve_earwig »

Not that I believe in a man with a beard who lives on a cloud and needs money... Hmm, I hope you weren't expecting a joke.

I have my car key on a belt loop so it's nice and light and I don't have any ignition lock problems. Tuesday night I put the car in the shed and stuck the battery on charge 'cos it's having trouble cranking due to the inclement weather (this morning it was -10  ) Wednesday at 1 had to take my other half to work (pm shift this week) - where's the key? Luckily I have my (non-plip) spare but after spending yesterday afternoon and evening up until about 10pm looking (I even raked the snow with a spring rake), I came to the conclusion that I probably hadn't left it under the bonnet and in all probability I'd dropped it in the snow somewhere between the shed and the house and that I probably wouldn't be seeing it again until the snow melts, sometime between now and the spring - by which time the electronics would be scrap. As usual with any unexpected expenditure all I could think of all the nice things I could have bought with the money, if only I hadn't been so stupid :( :( :(

Anyway, we've just been shopping. As we came through the front gate my other half exclaimed "the key!!" and there it was in the snow in front of the house (que?) in the snow churned up by the dogs. I don't know whether to  or

It's on the radiator just now drying, in about an hour I'll give it a try.

I have a new keyring for it, it's still lighter than a bunch of house key but much harder to loose than a tiny strip of leather. It looks a bit like this:

You wanna get a key ring that looks like a dog turd - you'd soon spot that in the snow

Can you still buy 1990's style 'Whistling Key Rings'???
