Barjo tailgate gaurd for 406 estate

Post by BruceT »

We won one off eBay for a good price, recieved it today.

Does anyone know how it attaches/fixes to the boot?

It has 4 fixings.

2 at the bottom and 2 near the top where rear speakers are.

I assume the bottom fixing go into the boot carpet but our estate is missing these so might see if I can get a bolt and nylock nut on to fix to the bottom.

Im not sure where I should screw/bolt in the fixtures which goes somewhere near the rear speakers?

Do anyone of you guys having experiences with these?

Got one in the missus 306 estate. I just screwed it into the C pillar cover to be honest. With the way it mounts the dogs would really have to be pushing against it to pop the screws. We've got 2 staffies and a lab and it keeps all of them at bay.

With my guard I got, 4 2-3" long metal pieces with 3 screw holes in each and a 1" protruding thread (these are what i screwed to the C pillar covers), 4 flexible metal pieces with a hole in which go over the edges of the dog guard and then over the thread protruding from the metal mounts (1st item in paragraph) and 4 wing nuts to tighten the flexible metal bits on the threaded parts of the mount. This way the dog guard is easily removable for when we need to shift big stuff.

Oh, forgot to say, mock it up first and be careful not to screw through the wiring for the lights. I did that first time round! :x
