Had the new lift pump fitted this morning cost 60 quid. So all is well now......

That's the cheapest I've heard of - did you get a special deal, or can we all get one when our turn inevitably comes?

it was 142 quid for the lift pump went for a bosch one and 60 quid labour. Ouch but at least i know that it should last a while! The AA man said that most of the more modern diesels have the lift pump on the side of the injector pump now. Sounds like a better setup. Hopefully this pump should last a while. The fuel guage seems a bit more accurate now and the car feels like it picks up a bit better maybe when the pump was on the way out the pressure wasn't quite right.
