Merry Christmas one and all!

I got money towards the HD telly I'm gonna buy, books, and chocolate.

Mum made goose, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, beef chipolata sausages, peas, carrots, and a fantastic fruit & brandy Christmas pudding. I also just got done watching Iron Man on Sky HD (my Mum has an HDTV) and it was awesome.

And, I got the pleasure of driving 200+ miles here along some of the iciest, most winding roads, in freezing conditions, and always with the threat of heavy snowfall. But since the power steering and the heater both work, it was no bother at all. Damn, I love my car :)

Ours was peaceful. I managed to sproink my neck putting my coat on somehow so I wasn't up to much anyway.

We had a free-range turkey leg, it was massive and there was loads left. It was also free from one of my wife's colleagues :cheesy: In fact, the only bit we paid for was the mixed veg in the French salad. Yesterday, 'cos it was my imendan (name day - Feast of Stephen, no?) we were up at my friend's 'cos her husband is Štef too, there we had duck.

I got a pair of woolly gloves wiv lots of insulation. Good really, I have another that gets used for everything (clearing snow etc.) so now I have a decent pair too. Hey, beats 15 pairs of socks the wrong size and aftershave which I never use.

Ours was a bit of a cock up, we were supposed to be visiting my brother for the day as my parents are visiting for a couple of weeks & staying with him.
Got a phone call just before we left saying that my brother's eldest son has chicken pox. My wife has never had it so we had to steer clear; no food ready for eating so I improvised a late roast with chicken breast, chippolatas, roast spuds, carrots, parsnips and brocolli. (Accompanied by lots of Speckled Hen! :cheesy: )
Luckily our boys were oblivious, they were happy playing with their new Transformers!

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

It's for kids, old farts like us aren't meant to be having fun opening presents and stuffing ourselves with cake.
