peugeot 406 HDI 2.0 estate executive 2000 model non start

Post by mickeydread1122 »

hie guys finally i called an auto electrician to scan the car for any possible errors on why the car is not starting, it came with 5 possible errors and he managed to clear 4 of them excerpt 1 which is P-00CC which i have google searched as a possible P0204.can anyone help me now as the car is now almost 3 weeks parked on the driveway and its driving me nuts.
the auto electrician seems to think that it might be the immobiliser that has kicked in and it might need to be reprogrammed the key as the central locking is not working.the diesel is getting into the injectors and both pumps are working fine and therefore its not an issue to do with fuel pressure at all and the battery is brand new as well.he suggested that i buy a new battery for the immobiliser key as it seems to be tooo weak when the plip light is flashing and leave the battery un plugged for at least 24 hours so that it can reset itself.
any suggestions please

Check that the fuel pump relay (if the HDI's have one).
My car wouldn't start and it was the feed to the pump relay had worn through where it bridges across from the front of the engine bay to the engine.

Hope that helps.

Have a look at this site, it's very good with faults and diagnosis - you might see something usefull there.

many thanks for all you guys who have suggested or adviced about those other sites however we put the car through a detailed diagnosis and the engine immobiliser fault kicked in and the keys are out of synch with the ECU and therefore i will take the car to the stealers for it to be reprogrammed soon thats why the engine is not turning over but just cranks cause the ECU has been immobilised hopefully they will be able configure the central locking as well which had stopped working.
keep fingers crossed that its not BSI related as well
