406 Executive Accelerator Pedal Collapse!!

Hi,

My 2001 406 executive's accelerator has seemed to have collapsed whilst my wife was driving home tonight. the power has obviously suffered and I was wondering if anyone knows what has happened and if this is a common fault?

Hi there. When you say collapsed, what's actually gone? Has it lost the spring clip that goes on the cable outer on the engine end of the cable, did the spindle go or did one of the nipples come off the end??
