Hi All
A curious problem here - when I use the windscreen washers the 2 drivers side jets work OK but nothing comes out of the 2 passenger ones. Can anyone give me a clue as to what the problem might be and how to fix it please?
Many thanks

sounds like a blocked jet either poke a pin in it or buy a new one
Re: Nearside windscreen washer not working
Thanks for the reply Omega. Am I right in thinking that there will be two pipes coming from the washer fluid resevoir to the windscreen - one for the drivers side and one for the passenger side.
I guess one way of finding out if the jet nozzle is the problem would be to disconnect the pipe and see water comes out of the pipe when activated. If it doesn't, would it suggest the pipe has come off the resevoir? From bits I've been able to gather, checking that involves taking the nearside fromt wheel off, removing the wheel arch cover and locating the pipe that way - is that your understanding too?
Thanks again

Btw if they've been on a while they'll probably break if you try to remove them. Then again, new ones are cheap...

No. There's one hose going to the o/s of the bonnet, and the drivers side jet is on a T-piecebmthpug wrote:Thanks for the reply Omega. Exactly. And if the drivers one is putting out loads of water and the passengers one isnt putting out any, its clogged. The drivers one is recieving all the pressure. Best way to fix this is to disconnect the passenger one and clean it out thoroughly with a pin and flush it right through under a tap. Then replace and block the drivers washer with your finger while you push all the water through the passenger one. It may take a few times to get it right. Its just limescale.mjb wrote:No. There's one hose going to the o/s of the bonnet, and the drivers side jet is on a T-piece

New jets are just a couple of quid from a dealer and well worth replacing when you buy a new 406 as they have a tendency to corrode both inside and out
