The new system is on emmissions. The old is on engine size. The new system only applies to cars registered from January 2008.

Wellys S40 2.5 T5

Old System: €1,120 p.a.

New System: €1,050 (224g/km) You escaped the €2,100 premium (225g/km and above tax band )by 1 gram of emmissions!!!!!

You'd be paying the old amount becasue yours is registered before January 2008

I'm paying €615 per annum on the 2.0 coupe. Same amount on a HDi too.

Actually the Volvo is only 208g/km thanks mainly to CVVT (constantly variable valve timing) 8)

The 224g is the gaytronic version.

Mine's about £220.00 per year to tax it here.

Read and weep - Road tax in New South Wales is based on weight, my old V6 Commodore was the same amount to register!

$285 AUD for road tax or 174 quid! :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

Insurance isn't that bad too - Though some cars are getting beyond stupid!

I knew a girl from Perth. She said there is no road tax. Does it depend on the province?

was too lazy to reply and sunk under hefty workload. I count more than 9 years of experience in Information Systems and Information Technology. Started as a Apprentice Software Engineer in late '99 and now working as a Senior Executive for a leading financial institution in Sri Lanka.
Business Analysis, IT Project Management and Leading the Software Quality Assurance team are they key roles I'm playing at the moment officially.
Unofficially I provide mechanical/electrical consultancy to friends and colleagues and therefore managing a portfolio or garages voluntarily

Nah, got no satellite (too expensive/don't have much I'd want to watch) I downloaded that one a while back :supafrisk:

How are you getting on with the proxy server thing? It's very unstable here but that seems to be the network this end, so there wouldn't be any point in me paying for a better server over there.

I was watching Wallander last night (not much else we both like or worth watching), in Swedish with English susbtitles is fine, they're also showing it over here but that's in Swedish with Croat subtitles which is too much like hard work...
