Bit of a CHANGE from the 406

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

The 406 needed a lot of work for the MOT, new cat, drop links, arb bushes, was also puffing some out the back of engine.

Ive been wanting something more basic and a project like car so since came on flea bay.

Welly, won it for £620 MOT till OCtober, August tax

Wowee that's cool. I've seen minters around the 3-4K mark and to be fair from the photo's that's a tidy one you've got.

If it was me I'd wait for a good warm day and whip the seats out and the carpets and give them a good shampoo. The nice thing about those golfs is that most work is diy-able 8)

I wanna get Power steering fitted, there is kits on ebay but im not sure id be competent enough to fit it myself.

Im servicing it tonight (Ignition) and then oil and filter at the weekend.

Holy sh*t thats a steel for 620 notes. Not many looking like that anymore especially 3 door and on original BBS's. Great find.

Thanks, only a small bit of rust behind the number plate too. The rest is just the odd cosmetic dink/scratch but nothing you would not expect for a 20 year old car.

Those BBS RA's are PIG to clean. I havent even bothered yet lol
